Temporary and limited sanctions relief on Iran has been extended for three days as international powers and Tehran try to reach a final deal over the country’s nuclear program, the US Treasury said in a statement on Tuesday.

WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — Without the extension, the limited sanctions relief for Iran would have expired on Tuesday.

“The US Government hereby extends the Joint Plan of Action sanctions relief provided on November 25, 2014…through July 10,” the Treasury stated.

Negotiations between Iran and the P5+1 group of international meditators may continue at least until July 13, a senior source in the Iranian delegation told Sputnik earlier on Tuesday.
