MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Greece is trying to unlock a new bailout deal in exchange for strict economic reforms, demanded by its creditors. The current agreement expires on June 30.

Greek PM Tsipras to Meet With EU, ECB, IMF Officials on Wednesday
"The state of play in talks between Greece and its international creditors is also bound to be raised" during the parliament’s discussion with the European Council and the European Commission, according to the parliament’s website.

Athens was particularly hard-hit by the economic crisis in 2009. Its overall national debt stands at about $350 billion, the majority of which is owed to the European Commission, European Central Bank and the International Monetary Fund.

Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras met with key EU leaders and international creditors in Brussels on Monday to discuss his latest reforms proposal. European Council President Donald Tusk deemed it a major step toward settling the debt crisis.
