Extension of Anti-Russia Sanctions, Greek Debt Repayment Dominate G7 Agenda
MOSCOW (Sputnik) Moscow is sorry that the G7 group has called on Russia to fulfill the Minsk peace agreements on Ukraine, but not on those who actually need to fulfill it, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said Monday.

“We have noted that sanction issues have been linked to the implementation of the Minsk agreements by Russia. But we have repeatedly stressed the need to read the Minsk agreements, to refresh the memory, and, maybe, understand who should be fulfilling the Minsk agreements,” Peskov told reporters.

The spokesman added that Moscow so far has “not heard any calls on those who should be implementing them.”

On Sunday, German Chancellor Angela Merkel said anti-Russia sanctions would be lifted if the Minsk accords were fully implemented, noting that the withdrawal of the sanctions depended not only on Moscow, but also of Kiev’s policy.

The restrictive measures have been implemented against Russia over West’s accusations that Moscow "annexed" Crimea and purposefully escalated tensions in eastern Ukraine.

The leaders of the United States, the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Italy, Japan and Canada gathered on Sunday in Bavaria’s Schloss Elmau hotel for a summit. Apart from the Ukrainian crisis, agenda of the talks includes counter-terrorism efforts, migration policy and climate change.
