The man behind the veil is Senator Bernie Sanders from Vermont.
This did not make the headlines but Sanders had a huge rally on Tuesday in Burlington, Vermont where thousands of people came to show support for him.
Sputnik radio's BradCast show host Brad Freidman pointed out that the media acts like the senator does not exist. But the waterfront in Burlington was full of thousands of people who cheered him with massive applause.
Sanders once served as the popular mayor of Burlington, but now he is treated like a second string candidate against the others. When media does cover him, they smear him.
Brad says that's “despite the fact that Sanders' positions along with Elizabeth Warren are incredibly popular. According to a recent ‘YouGov’ poll it was found that 94 percent Americans agreed with Warren’s argument — and Sanders' argument is similar — that the American political system is rigged and is only in favor of the rich and powerful.”
“Nearly 9 out of 10 Americans agree that interest rates and student loans should be reduced.”
“80% want to expand social security and not cut it. 72% agree that the minimum wage should be increased.”
“82% of Americans agree with Sanders' proposal for massive investments in infrastructure improvement and so on.”
Regarding his rally journalist Jonathan Topez from 'Politico' wrote, “It is not your everyday Americans at Bernie Sanders rally.”
Sanders is considered to be the most socialist challenger to Clinton for the Democratic presidential nomination.
