Syrian opposition delegates have reached an impasse on the final declaration after the two-day reconciliation talks in Kazakhstan, a source close to the negotiations said Tuesday.

ASTANA (Sputnik) — The meeting in the Kazakh capital of Astana brought together more than 30 party leaders and representatives from various Syrian opposition groups, civil society figures and independent activists. The Syrian government has been absent from the talks.

“They are unable to agree on the document so far, the talks are continuing,” the source told RIA Novosti.
