Putin, Lavrov Begin Talks With Kerry in Sochi

Russian President Vladimir Putin and Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov have begun talks with US Secretary of State John Kerry in Russia’s southern resort city of Sochi.

SOCHI (Sputnik) – Earlier in the day, Kerry and Lavrov met to discuss a wide range of issues.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov earlier on Tuesday said that Moscow has never been the initiator of “frosty” relations and was upbeat on Kerry’s visit to Russia in order to adjust the countries’ relations.

“We are always open to holding dialogue, and through dialogue we can already look for a way to a closer coordination in solving international issues. This can be done only through dialogue,” Peskov said.
