MOSCOW (Sputnik) – Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas could visit Moscow in the first half of this year, the Palestinian ambassador to Russia said Thursday.
"I think the visit will take place in the first half of this year," Fayed Mustafa said at a news conference in Rossiya Segodnya news agency.
The ambassador added that the details of the visit were being worked out by the Palestinian and Russian diplomats.
Russia was one of the first countries in the world to recognize the state of Palestine in 1988.
