"The need was noted for active consolidated actions by the whole international community for a decisive fight against terrorism in all its forms," the foreign ministry said following a phone conversation of the ministers.
According to the statement, the foreign policy chiefs paid special attention to the situation in Libya.
The conversation took place a weak after the Islamic State jihadist group released a video showing the beheadings of 21 Egyptian Coptic Christians abducted earlier in Libya.
Libya, which has been in a political turmoil since overthrow of the dictator Muammar Gaddafi in 2011, has recently been mired with attacks by ISIL and its affiliates.
In early February, Islamic State fighters claimed responsibility for several attacks in Libya. The group reportedly took over a state-run television channel and two radio stations in the country.
On Friday, the insurgents killed and injured dozens in a bomb attack in the city of Al-Qubbah in eastern Libya.
