MOSCOW, November 10 (RIA Novosti) — Relations between Malaysia and China have not gone downhill due to the MH370 crash, Malaysia's Ambassador to China Datuk Iskandar Sarudin said Monday.
"The strong ties were not affected by the MH370 tragedy. The public has also seen how we strived to settle the issue with a sincere and serious approach," Iskandar said as quoted by The Star.
According to Iskandar, the two countries have taken their bilateral relations to an even higher level and intend to augment their trade to $160 billion by 2017.
Malaysia Airlines flight MH370 en route from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing went missing on March 8 with all 227 passengers and 12 members of the crew. The plane allegedly disappeared into the southern Indian Ocean.
