KIEV, November 6 (RIA Novosti) — Ukraine's Central Election Commission has recognized leader of the ultra-nationalist Right Sector, Dmytro Yarosh, an elected member of the country's parliament at the commission's meeting Thursday.

According to the Central Election Commission, Yarosh won in a single-member electoral district in the Dnipropetrovsk region with 30.27 percent of votes.

Yarosh ran for presidency in May, however, gaining less than 1 percent of votes. At the request of the Russian authorities the leader of the Ukrainian nationalists was included in the Interpol wanted list for inciting terrorist activities.

Ukraine held early parliamentary elections on October 26. Ukrainians went to the polls to vote for 423 members of parliament — 225 of them from party lists and 198 in single-candidate constituencies. The People's Front party headed by Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk, Petro Poroshenko Bloc garnered 22.22 and 21.82 percent of the votes respectively.

Members of the Right Sector movement were among those, who clashed with police and seized administrative buildings in Ukraine in January, prior to the February 22 government coup. Moscow has repeatedly called on Kiev to disarm the group.
