The inauguration of a new leader of the Donetsk People's Republic is scheduled for the day after the announcement of the election results.

DONETSK, November 1 (RIA Novosti) — The inauguration of a new leader of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) is scheduled for November 4, a source in the DPR's government told RIA Novosti Saturday.

"The inauguration of the new head of the DPR is scheduled for the day after the announcement of the election results, i.e. for Tuesday, November 4," the source stated.

It is assumed that the ceremony will be "rather modest."

The self-proclaimed Donetsk and Luhansk People's Republics (DPR and LPR) have set the elections for their regional leaders and legislative bodies for November 2. The DPR and the LPR want full independence for the whole territory within the borders of the respective administrative entities in Ukraine.

The Ukrainian authorities consider the upcoming elections in DPR and LPR to be illegal and threatening the region's peace process.

On Wednesday, the authorities from the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic (DNR) extended invitations to the representatives from Ukraine to observe the upcoming elections on November 2.

According to the European Union, these elections are not in line with the Minsk agreements on the settlement of the situation in the Donbas, signed on September 5.
