MILAN, August 29 (RIA Novosti) – Ukraine, Iraq and Syria will be in focus at the informal meeting of EU foreign ministers scheduled for August 29-30 in Milan, EU foreign policy chief Catherine Ashton told the press Friday.
On arriving at the meeting venue, Ashton said she was going to give a report on her Tuesday meeting with the presidents of Russia, Ukraine, Belarus and Kazakhstan in Minsk. Iraq, Syria and the ceasefire in the Middle East are to be among other discussion topics, Ashton added.
The informal meeting between 28 foreign ministers of EU member nations is scheduled to take place from Friday to Saturday in Milan. A press conference with Catherine Ashton and Italian Foreign Minister Federica Mogherini is scheduled for after the meeting.
