The United Arab Emirates capital is getting ready for the grand opening of its very own Louvre, which will unveil artwork from both the East and West. After its official inauguration by French President Emmanuel Macron on Wednesday, the museum will finally open its doors to the public on Saturday, November 11.

The inauguration of the Louvre Abu Dhabi comes 10 years after the signing of the intergovernmental agreement that launched the Louvre Abu Dhabi project. The museum expects to welcome around 5,000 visitors in its first days.
