What happens to the utopian endeavor for technological superiority when its ideological staple crumbles? To answer this question, budding Russian visual artist Danila Tkachenko, a Rodchenko Moscow School of Photography and Multimedia graduate and World Press Photo winner, has travelled across the disappeared Soviet Union exploring its technological peaks, now deserted. Don’t miss his exhibition “Restricted Areas” in Berlin in September and October 2016.
