Fashion weeks, crowded markets, tourists, resorts, ancient architecture and even casinos — prewar Syria was a peaceful, hospitable and absolutely wonderful place. Sputnik guides you through Syria, a world lost in the ongoing bloody civil war. When will once bustling and lively Syria rise from the ashes?

i wouldn't refer to it as a civil war, more like a Islamist foreign invasion.

This lifestyle will return again... although the terrible things which happened and are still happening now, will never be forgotten, the positive of it, is that it has and is serving to further strengthen the Syrian people and while nobody would wish for such horror and terror to descend on their nation, Syria will be ever more precious to her people... the sound of bombs, missiles and all the horrors will depart and the birds will sing again when the dawn breaks over your wonderful land. You will overcome! God bless Syria and the courageous people of Syria!

buckwheatisback, Never was a civil war -- falsely created western by terror proxy war to get their hands on Syria -- unfortunately the ungodly western alliance, thought Syria would be just another walk-over! How wrong they were -- They will meet their Waterloo there GOOD and SOLID!

Those Syrians who collaborated with the outside forces should be ashamed of themselves for what they've done to their own country and people.

I really hope peace is restored in Syria and it's rebuilt.

All fingers of blame can be pointed to the filth of the of the US neocons and its AXIS allies. Very sad to look back to what once was a great culture. Much of its ancient history now permanently destroyed, never to be restored. Russia is the only chance it has of regaining any stability and peace!!!

Syria will rise again like Germany, Japan, and all of war torn Europe at WWll end, like the Phoenix rising from the ashes, with new generation of dynamic leaders, bustling economy, and better infrastructure, and more important better young minds, like its colonizer France, Damascus will one day become the Paris of the Middle East, and the Syrian military will be on par with Israel and Saudi Arabia, with better Russian equipment, art and intellectualism will flourish again, The three main countries responsible the US, Britain, and France shall be made pay for all damages a trillion in war reparations. and don't forget Turkey and Saudi Arabia, all gulf states, Syria is the heart of the Arab world and the heart hasn't stopped beating, but when rebuilt beat stronger than ever before.

To the people of Syria refugees and all who live abroad come back and rebuild, bring paradise back.

People of all countries: The same can happen to you if you do not confront the satanic forces in time and that is NOW.

I have heard about what Syria was like before the civil war before. Thanks to Sputnik for showing me I wasn't misinformed.

Syria will be back on track, no doubt. This time, the decadent should not have contracts and businesses. The people of Syria will decide. May it return to its peaceful times soon.
May this Christmas bring a little peace to that ancient land where St Paul walked 2000 years ago. May all live harmoniously, may there be no domination, and let no Godless, atheists, occult societies , and one-worlders have any say in the future Syria which is being re-made under our eyes.

Spring Has Sprung Around the World

Though spring kicked off in the northern hemisphere on March 1, for many the season begins on March 20, marking the spring equinox - the astronomical beginning of spring. On an equinox, day and night are of approximately equal duration all over the planet.
