Let the Peace Return: Another Syrian Village Liberated From Terrorists

The Syrian Army, supported by the Russian Aerospace Defense Forces, continues to liberate the country’s north from militants. Two more villages were cleared of enemy combatants near the city of Idlib.

The Syrian Army pressed the advance in vicinity of al-Bahsa freed last weekend. In the Hama governorate the Army recaptured the villages of Saf-Safa and al-Fura from the Nusra Front terrorists.

“The Russian aviation goes first. Its planes deliver pinpoint strikes on the positions, staff and artillery of the militants. Yesterday the aviation conducted four airstrikes on al-Fura,” a Syrian officer elaborated.

Civilians have long left those villages and therefore civil casualties were averted.

“We are fighting for every house, our enemy is very stubborn,” the officer said.

Having cleared villages, the Syrian Army establishes its strong points there and starts battling for another village. Both sides use snipers.

The liberated villages are derelict because residents fled them escaping from terrorists. From time to time they return to check the state of their property.

A Russian Su-34 bomber destroyed the firing positions of the Nusra Front near Saf-Safa.

The situation is complicated by the mountainous terrain. “At night militants scale the range and shell us from mortars. We respond with artillery,” Syrian soldiers said.
