The 10th Russian President’s Cup jubilee horse race was held on Monday at the Central Moscow Hippodrome.
Vladimir Putin and heads of states and governments of the Gas Exporting Countries Forum watched the race from the presidential tent.
Bolivian President Evo Morales attended the race
The Russian President’s Cup was established by the Agriculture Ministry in 2004 after the Russian Government supported the initiative.

Such high-level races began before the 1917 Revolution. The Emperor’s Cup race held in 1916 was the last.

Twelve male thoroughbreds aged four and older, including two horses, Gayar and Khorezm, belonging to the Chechen Republic’s leader Ramzan Kadyrov, and Palekh, winner of last year’s race competed for the main trophy, the Russian President’s Cup.
