The Tibetan Plateau in Central Asia is among the world’s most pristine regions. Many of the world’s largest rivers originate in Tibet, including the Yarlung-Tsangpo, the Yellow River, the Yangtze, the Indus, the Arun, the Salween, and the Mekong.

The Republic of Costa Rica is one of the smallest countries in Central America and consists of lands that remain mostly pristine and unpolluted.
Tuva, a land of mountain ranges and intermountain basins, is home to over 430 lakes, most of which are of glacial origin.

The Himalayas are the highest mountain range on Earth stretching across India, Nepal, China, Pakistan, and Bhutan. The Sagarmatha National Park in Nepal is part of the UNESCO List of World Heritage Sites, which was created to preserve the natural resources and traditions of people around the world.
The list also includes Antarctica, the Earth’s southernmost continent.
The Kamchatka peninsula in the north-eastern part of Eurasia is home to clean rivers. Most of Kamchatka's rivers originate at the feet of mountains and glaciers, which explains the purity and quality of their waters.
