    The mass protests which started in Tolos, a town in the northwest of the ex-Soviet Central Asian state of Kyrgyzstan, spread through many regions of the country to the capital Bishkek. At least 40 people have died and another 400 are injured in ongoing clashes, the Kyrgyz health ministry said.
