MOSCOW, April 23 (RIA Novosti) - Britain's famous rockers Depeche Mode will give concerts in Moscow and St. Petersburg in February 2010 as part of their world tour, the head of the Russian organizing group said on Thursday.

The music band, which has enjoyed worldwide popularity for 30 years, will play in St. Petersburg on February 4 and Moscow on February 6, the last night of their world tour to support their new album Sounds of the Universe.

Vladimir Zubitsky, the head of the SAV Entertainment and Russian Show Center, said the musicians, who sold out a Moscow concert in March 2006, would bring their own equipment to ensure top-quality sound.

"Today we are officially announcing the beginning of ticket sales," Zubitsky said.

The band will begin their world tour on May 6 in Luxembourg and will continue across Europe and the United States before the final concert in the Russian capital.
