MOSCOW, June 10 (RIA Novosti) - The Russian Culture and Mass Communications Ministry plans to hold an international youth and student festival in 2007. It will be similar to the 1957 Moscow festival, Andrei Vulf, director of the Ministry's foreign relations department, said.
"Painters, actors, poets and writers will display their achievements in Moscow," Vulf told a briefing at his Ministry.
In his words, the CIS youth and student festival, due to take place next summer, will serve as a dress rehearsal.
The 2007 festival will acquaint people with a new Russia, highlighting its openness and its readiness to take part in international processes, Vulf added.
