    MOSCOW, March 1 (RIA Novosti) - Italy is interested in the use of Russian launch vehicles for orbiting its communication satellites, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Ivanov told journalists in Moscow on Tuesday.

    "One item of our cooperation with Italy is the possibility of using Russian carrier rockets for putting in space Italian communication satellites. Italy is interested", he said.

    He also said that Russia and Italy are looking into the possibility of promoting the jointly created Yak-130 aircraft to the markets of third countries.

    "There are projects to promote the product to the third countries' markets with the profit-sharing arrangement", Mr. Ivanov said.

    On March 3 the Russian defense minister will pay a working visit to Florence and meet with his Italian opposite number. Among other matters of military-technical cooperation, he will speak up on this theme.
