MOSCOW, August 15 (RIA Novosti) - Russian presidential administration chief Dmitry Medvedev met on Sunday with Ukrainian President Leonid Kuchma, reported Russian presidential press secretary Aleksei Gromov.

In his words, the conversation touched upon issues of preparation for the meeting of Russian and Ukrainian Presidents Vladimir Putin and Leonid Kuchma, scheduled for August 18.

Mr. Medvedev and Mr. Kuchma also discussed issues of interaction in the economic sphere and cooperation in the framework of the Common Economic Space of Russia, Belarus, Ukraine and Kazakhstan, as well as the CIS.

The press secretary did not say where the meeting took place and where the two presidents' meeting will take place. However, taking into account that the Ukrainian President is spending his leave in the Crimea, the talk is most likely about the Crimea in both cases.
