MOSCOW, May 13 (RIA Novosti) - The European Union backs Russia's accession to the World Trade Organization "on real terms", head of the European Commission's delegation in Moscow Richard Wright said at the session of the Federation Council's international committee.
The EU gives overall support for Russia's accession to WTO on real terms, he noted. Mr. Wright pointed out active progress on this issue.
According to him, the European Union is ready to create conditions to boost Russia's social and economic integration to Europe. Richard Wright also emphasized the necessity to solve practical tasks, such as the formation of four common spaces.
From the legal point of view the European Commission should consider the claim and possibility of Russia's accession to the European Union," he noted.
