DUBAI, May 3 (RIA Novosti's Yuri Zinin) - The business community of the United Arab Emirates is glad Russia has joined the contributors to the Spring Trade Fair in Dubai. Ahmed al-Banna, Deputy Director of the Dubai Chamber of Industries and Commerce, said so at a news conference devoted to Russia's Day at the Dubai Fair.
The Russian stands at the Dubai Fair feature consumer goods produced by thirty companies based all across Russia. The presence of companies from Siberia and the Urals Mountains is especially prominent; they are presenting building materials, household appliances, electronics, machine tools, and utensils.
Mr. Al-Banna has called on the sides to develop long-term economic cooperation in sectors such as financing, banking, insurance, information technologies, construction, aeronautics, and space exploration.
The Dubai Spring Fair has been taking place for a twenty-ninth time. This year's event has drawn participants from more than twenty countries.
