    MOSCOW, April 23 (RIA Novosti) - A Russian Air Force TU-154 airplane will bring more than 100 Russian military to Sierra Leone, the Defense Ministry told RIA Novosti on Friday.

    "The Russian pilots are scheduled to take off at 6:00 a.m. Moscow time on April 25 from the Tchaikovsky air base near Moscow. The Russian Air Force TU-154 planes will bring more than 100 helicopter pilots from the helicopter retraining center in Torzhok," a representative of the Defense Ministry said.

    According to him, on the evening of April 26, a Russian Air Force IL-76 transport plane carrying technical cargo is scheduled to take off from the Migalovo air base for Africa.

    A group of Russian helicopter pilots has been in Sierra Leone since August 2000, in accordance with a UN Security Council resolution, the source added.
