According to the press service of the Palace of Congresses, the conference will consider ways to improve the legislative base of the billboards industry, prospects of innovation technologies in this sphere, set up bodies to work out standards and control over their implementation, problems of ethics and aesthetics in billboards.
Participating in the conference will be representatives of over 40 companies dealing with billboards in Russia's 93 cities, and Russian cultural and artistic figures, including directors of major St. Petersburg museums.
The conference is the first joint project of professional advertising associations: the International Advertising Commission of the Council of Media Industry and the National Association of Billboards and Information. It will be held within the 9th Open Billboards Festival, Dialogue 2004.
