FIRE IN CHILDREN'S CENTER EXTINGUISHED

ROSTOV-ON-DON, April 14 (RIA Novosti)-- The fire at the Orlenok all-Russia children's center in Krasnodar has been put out, Alexander Dzheus, the general director of the center, told RIA Novosti.

He said that there were no injuries or deaths in the fire and the damage is being investigated.

According to Mr. Dzheus, the fire was on the sixth floor of the group leaders' house.

"The fire practically extinguished itself," the general director said. According to him, fire safety drill was carried out at the center recently.

The center is located in Novomikhailovsky, a settlement on coast of the Black Sea.
