    MILITANT CONFESSES TO TERRORIST ATTACK IN CHECHNYA

    KHANKALA, 14 April (RIA Novosti)-RIA Novosti learnt in the provisional press center of the Russian Interior Ministry in the North Caucasus that a militant had confessed to committing a terrorist attack in Chechnya.

    A source said that Interior Ministers officers and their colleagues from Grozny had established that a suspect who had been detained earlier, Akhmadov, had been involved in blowing up a regular passenger bus.

    According to the source, the terrorist attack was committed in August 2002 in the Zavod district of Chechnya's capital, Grozny. One person was killed in the attack and another eight were injured.
