MOSCOW, April 13 (RIA Novosti) - Leading business people, rallied in the Union of Russian Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (URIE), are prepared to revise their relations with the state in light of new policy, URIE Vice-President Igor Yurgens said Tuesday.

"As the government-business-civil society triangle cannot be destroyed, it is necessary to re-adjust, to reload this matrix," he said at a round-table discussion sponsored by the fund "Unity In the Name of Russia". He added that one could not expect quick and easy results.

In the opinion of the URIE vice-president, an end to former relationships between the government and big business was put by the case of the former YUKOS head Mikhail Khodorkovsky.

Igor Yurgens claims that quite a number of initiatives by the URIE, he refers to as "the oligarchs' union", including the banking reform, customs code and medical reform draft, have been appreciated and made use of by the government.

The URIE vice-president adds that the big business community, causing quite definite emotions on the part of the population, intends to retreat to the background by merging with medium and small business and thus preventing public opinion from being vexed with them.

"Coalitions with small and medium business ought to be set up," Igor Yurgens said, making the assurance that the Russian tycoons would not claim any political posts.

"The rules will be stiffer and I don't think that anyone would like to resume political games," Yurgens said, obviously hinting on the political nature of the Khodorkovsky case.
