IN FEBRUARY 2004 ROSENERGOATOM EARNED OVER 6 BILLION RUBLES FOR ELECTRICITY

MOSCOW, April 9 (RIA Novosti) - In February 2004, Rosenergoatom, a Federal Atomic Energy Agency concern, earned more than 6 billion rubles ($1 is approximately 28.5 rubles) for the electricity produced by its power plants, says a Rosenergoatom press release received by RIA Novosti on Friday.

The press release says: "The sum total of payments to the Rosenergoatom concern for electricity from the regulated sector and the free market sector in February 2004 was 6,723,400,000 rubles or 100.7% of the actual cost of commercial electricity, which in February 2004, was 6,678,700,000 rubles."

According to the press release, all of the electricity Rosenergoatom sold in the free market (941.1 million rubles) was fully paid for.

The press release also says that in February, the concern and the Belgorodenergo joint stock company (Central Federal District) extended their direct contracts on electricity supplies.

Rosenergoatom also concluded direct contracts with the Lenenergo joint stock company (Northwest Federal District) for 112.4 million rubles.

Rosenergoatom's debt for supplied electricity decreased by 44.7 million rubles in February and as of March 1, 2004, was 11.463 billion rubles, the press release says.
