MOSCOW-BELARUS BUSINESS COOPERATION COUNCIL TO MEET IN MINSK

MINSK, April 9 (RIA Novosti's Olesya Luchaninova) - On Friday a delegation of the Moscow City government headed by Deputy Mayor Valery Shantsev arrives in Minsk to participate in the first meeting of the Moscow-Belarus Business Cooperation Council, Andrei Savinykh, the Belarussian Foreign Ministry's press secretary, has reported.

During the meeting the parties will discuss cooperation in the transport, communal, housing and construction spheres, fulfillment of joint programs and projects, development of distribution networks in Belarussian regions and Moscow districts.

They will also discuss opening of a Moscow mission in Minsk, and construction of a trade center in the Belarussian capital.

After the meeting the parties are expected to sign an agreement between the governments of Belarus and Moscow on the Business Cooperation Council, an agreement between the Belarussian Economic Ministry and the Moscow department for small business support in the business sphere.

The Moscow delegation's agenda also includes a visit to the Minsk automobile plant and other objects.

On Saturday the delegation will visit the Brest region bordering on Poland.
