"Russia is a traditional participant in the show. In comparison with the preceding one, this year the Russian exhibition has become almost two times larger, reflecting the dynamic development of military-technical cooperation between Russia and countries in South-East Asia", the spokesman for Rosoboronexport noted.
The Russian exhibition took shape minding the world tendencies in the military sphere and studying the demands of South-East Asian countries, he said.
"The Russian stand shows models, dummies, information-reference and advertising-imaging materials on 650 kinds of arms and military equipment for the land, are and air-defence forces, navy and conversion products", the press service said.
One of the largest arms exhibitions in the Asian-Pacific region, the DSA 2004 is held once in two years under the patronage of the Malaysian Defence Ministry and invariably evokes much interest among the leading manufacturers and customers of arms and military equipment world over. As prophesied by its organisers, over 600 firms and organisations from over 40 countries will participate in the DSA 2004.
