BRUSSELS, April 6, 2004 - RIA Novosti's Alexander Shishlo. President of Georgia Mikhail Saakashvili said that he had good relations with President of Russia Vladimir Putin.
"I have good personal relations with the Russian President. What he promises he always fulfills," the President of Georgia told reporters on Friday in Brussels.
Saakashvili spoke against the presence of [Russian] military bases on the territory of Georgia, but does not ruled it out that compromise solutions could be found with regard to the date of their withdrawal.
He answered reporters' questions after the completion of his talks with President of the European Commission Romano Prodi.
