Representative of the St. Petersburg internal affairs main department in charge with cultural and historical values theft Viktor Panteleyev, director of the journalist investigations agency of the Leningrad region Andrei Konstantinov and heads of St. Petersburg's museums will participate in the ceremony, spokesperson for the Ethnography Museum Inna Karpushina told RIA Novosti.
Four showpieces, a Saami knife, a handmade peasant firelock, a Turkish yataghan and a Khevsur saber (Khevsuretia is a historic region in Georgia) were stolen from the museum's restoration shop on March 22 night. The showpieces cost $14,000.
The rarities were discovered by officials of the journalist investigations agency in a house in St. Petersburg's Petrogradsky district on March 25th.
Two suspects of the theft were detained.
