    US AIR STRIKES KILL AFGHAN CIVILIANS

    ABU DHABI, March 20, 2004. (RIA Novosti). At least six people were killed and seven wounded as a result of US air strikes on a village in Afghanistan's Oruzgan province (the birthplace of Taliban spiritual leader Mullah Omar), Afghan governmental sources said. There are women and children among the victims.

    Representatives of the US army claimed they are unaware of the victims among civilians.

    According to them, US aircraft hit Taliban strongholds.
