RUSSIA AND MONTENEGRO INTERESTED IN DEVELOPING COMPREHENSIVE BILATERAL RELATIONS

MOSCOW, March 18, 2004. (RIA Novosti) - Mutual interest in reinvigorating Russian-Montenegrin relations in every area was confirmed during the visit of Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Razov to Montenegro, says the communique of the Press and Information Board of the Russian Foreign Ministry.

During the visit, held on March 17, Razov had meetings with Milo Jukanovic, Prime Minister of Montenegro, President Filip Vujanovic, President of Skupstina Ranko Krivokapic, Foreign Minister Dragis Burzan.

"A detailed exchange of opinions on topical questions of bilateral cooperation, situation in the Serbia-Montenegro state community, regional problems was held," the communique reads.

The sides noted "the promising areas for mutually advantageous cooperation could be the energy and metallurgical complexes, participation of Russian capital in the privatisation of industrial and other facilities."
