TBILISI, March 18, 2004. (RIA Novosti) - Officers of the Georgian State Security Ministry discovered an arsenal in the Pankisi Gorge on the border with Chechnya.
Law enforcers were given information on an arsenal in a house in the village of Batsara, the ministry's representative said.
"Chechen refugees used to live in this house. Several automatic rifles and antitank grenades were found in the house," the representative added.
Criminal proceedings were initiated. Investigators are looking for the house owners.
