BEIRUT, March 18, 2004. (RIA Novosti) - Lebanon hopes for the consolidation of friendly relations with Russia and expansion of bilateral cooperation, reads Lebanese Foreign Minister Jean Obeid's telegram sent to his Russian counterpart Sergei Lavrov in connection with his appointment.
"This event confirms Lebanon's readiness for cooperation with Russian on key international issues," Obeid said.
