MOSCOW, March 18, 2004. (RIA Novosti) - Moscow Mayor Yuri Luzhkov has ordered to form a special commission to check security of 60 unique buildings including the spire on the Poklonnaya Hill and "Stalin's skyscrapers", Alexander Kosovan, the first deputy head of the Moscow architecture, development and reconstruction department, told journalists on Thursday.
According to him, "it does not mean that they are not safe, however, they need thorough examination." Foreign experts will be involved in the commission's work, Kosovan said. The terms of their work in Moscow are under discussion now.
