YOSHIRO MORI HOPES FOR IMPROVEMENT OF RUSSO-JAPANESE RELATIONS

TOKYO, March 18, 2004. (RIA Novosti) -- Japanese ex-Premier Yoshiro Mori intends to visit Russia in April. Mr. Mori announced his intention at a reception in the Russian Embassy, marking the appointment of new heads of the Japan-Russia Society.

"I am sure that Russo-Japanese relations will be improving and we shall develop mutual understanding and economic cooperation," Yoshiro Mori told Russian ambassador Alexander Losyukov.

Mori is the chairman of the Japanese Parliamentary Association for the Friendship with Russia.
