    KIEV, March 18, 2004. (RIA Novosti correspondent Yevgeny Aleksandrov) - On Thursday, 429 deputies of the Ukrainian Supreme Rada voted to hold presidential elections in Ukraine on October 31, 2004.

    The five-year term of Leonid Kuchma's presidency ends in 2004. He was elected president of Ukraine in 1999.
