MOSCOW, March 18, 2004. (RIA Novosti) - The tense moment in the relationship between Adzharia and Georgia, which could have developed into an armed conflict, is now gone. Speaker of the State Duma Boris Gryzlov said this to reporters on Thursday.
In his words, negotiations have been launched, also thanks to the efforts of Russian parliamentarians and Moscow Mayor Yuri Luzhkov. "This is the most important thing," stressed Mr. Gryzlov.
"I think the sides will agree on the issue, and it will be solved with no armed conflict whatsoever," said the speaker of the lower house.
