TBILISI, MARCH 17 (RIA NOVOSTI) - President Aslan Abashidze of the Adzharian autonomy will meet with Georgia's President Mikhail Saakashvili on the republican administrative premises in Batumi tomorrow. Abashidze made the announcement after a conference with Nino Burdzhanadze, Georgian parliament Speaker, which lasted close on seven hours today.
Adzharia introduced a state of emergency, November 24, 2003 - immediately after Georgia's President Eduard Shevardnadze was forced to resign. Now, Mr. Abashidze promises to abolish it - but not before all military vehicles withdraw from the Georgian side of the administrative border, and all Georgian law enforcement officers on duty there return to base.
