MINSK, March 17, 2004. (RIA Novosti) - State Duma Speaker Boris Gryzlov was elected speaker of the Parliamentary Assembly of Russia-Belarus Union.
"The fastest fulfillment of the tasks outlined in the Union State Formation Treaty will depend on the effective work of the Parliamentary Assembly," Mr. Gryzlov said after his election.
Vyacheslav Volodin was elected deputy speaker of the Parliamentary Assembly on Russia's side.
