MOSCOW, March 17, 2004. (RIA Novosti) - CIS air-force commanders are to discuss air-defense issues March 17-19 in the Russian capital.
The air-defense coordinating council of the Council of CIS Defense Ministers is to hold its session March 17-19, Col. Alexander Drobyshevsky, chief of the Russian Air Force's press center, disclosed this on Wednesday.
Those taking part in the conference will examine over ten different issues, aiming to streamline joint combat-duty programs within the framework of the joint CIS air-defense system, Mr. Drobyshevsky added.
Conference delegates would be expected to visit some of Moscow's defense enterprises, also taking part in a training assembly at the Tver-based air-defense military institute, Mr. Drobyshevsky added. (Tver is located 150 km north-west of Moscow)
