TBILISI, MARCH 16 (RIA NOVOSTI) - On Wednesday the son of Georgia's first president Zviad Gamsakhurdia, Konstantin is coming back home after twelve years abroad. The plane carrying Konstantin to Tbilisi from Frankfurt will land at 02:30 a.m., local time, in Tbilisi airport.

The Novosti-Georgia news agency said this in the press center of the political movement Freedom, headed by Mikhail Svimonishvili and David Bardavelidze.

Konstantin Gamsakhurdia is going to partake in the March 28 parliamentary elections on the Freedom lists. He is at the top of the list of the party, which has been registered by the Georgian Central Election Commission for the parliamentary elections.

In these twelve years Konstantin Gamsakhurdia has been living in Switzerland with his family - the wife Nino Bardavelidze and the sons Demetre and Zviad.

Before coming back to Georgia, Konstantin made a statement, noting that the Freedom movement supports the present leadership of Georgia and voiced confidence that Freedom would overcome the required seven-percent barrier for the parliamentary elections. At the same time, Konstantin Gamsakhurdia stressed that the Freedom political movement would go on working irrespective of the results of the parliamentary elections.
