TBILISI, March 15 (RIA Novosti) - According to the Novosti-Georgia information agency, on Monday OSCE chairman-in-office Solomon Pasi stated in Tbilisi that the issue of guarantees of democratic holding in the territory of Adzharia of elections into the Georgian parliament must be resolved between Tbilisi and Batumi.
Pasi indicated that "guarantees of democratic parliamentary elections in the territory of the Adzharian autonomy must be discussed only between Georgian president Mikhail Saakashvili and Aslan Abashidze, head of Adzharia as the OSCE role is to facilitate the dialogue between the parties." He did not exclude a possible meeting between the Georgian president and the head of the autonomy taking place in the nearest future.
