TEHRAN, March 15, 2004. (RIA Novosti) - Russian and Iranian Foreign Ministers Sergei Lavrov and Kamal Kharrazi pointed out the necessity to continue joint consultations on international issues.
Lavrov and Kharrazi agreed to continue consultations on international issues and bilateral cooperation development over the telephone, the Iranian Foreign Ministry's press service told RIA Novosti on Monday.
The ministers reached mutual understanding on organizing meetings and talks as part of the forthcoming session of the Caspian states at the level of foreign ministers.
Kharrazi also congratulated Sergei Lavrov on the appointment to the post of Russian Foreign Minister.
