MOSCOW, March 15, 2004. (RIA Novosti) -- On Monday Russian President Vladimir Putin and British Prime Minister Tony Blair had a telephone conversation on the initiative of the British side, the Kremlin press service told RIA Novosti.
The British Premier warmly congratulated Vladimir Putin on a great achievement, a considerable result in the presidential elections.
The sides pointed out their firm intention to maintain a high level of Russo-British relations. They also expressed satisfaction with practical results in trade and investment cooperation and support for the expansion of relations in this sphere.
Vladimir Putin and Tony Blair discussed plans of Russo-British contacts for 2004, including joint participation on multilateral forums.
